The PVC Drainsafe drain cover will not allow any object thicker than 3⁄8" to enter the sump on which it is mounted. Designed to shed hair away from the flow of water, therefore precluding hair entanglement. Designed to fit over sumps 51/2" - 8" in diameter. Dome shaped design also minimizes body and limb entrapment and has an open surface area of 27 sq. in. and is certified up to 123 GPM max @ 1.5 fps. The vertical or horizontal mounting design allows side wall protection as well as floor protection to all suction fittings. The open area of 27 sq. in., allows for water to flow around and under the Drainsafe as well as through the top domed area for total bottom water turnover. It is "pool cleaner friendly" and allows for ease of brushing and vacuuming during maintenance operations. Includes: 12 piece 316 stainless steel Uni-Screw fastener kit and security attachment tool. Complies with ASME/ANSI A112.19.8 2007 Standard.
