COMPETITOR BRONZE CLEVIS — For disconnects, each.
Competitor Racing Lanes – Clevis Disconnect
Competitor Racing Lanes feature a unique, short-coupling disconnect for easy lane conversion from long to short course competition. Disconnects feature a stainless steel pin and brass clevis for tough, long-wearing use.
Instructions for Changing 75-Ft. Lane to Disconnect
1. Lay lane out on a flat surface.
2. Find the exact middle of the floats.
3. Push one half of the floats to the spring end of the cable and the other half to the reel end of the cable.
4. Starting with the spring end half, measure out 3-1/2" from the last float where the lane was separated and cut the cable at this point.
5. Apply bronze clevis disconnect to the spring end as follows: Insert cable up through the side without the set screws and back down through the side with the set screws, making sure that the end of the cable is flush with the bottom of the clevis. Tighten the set screws securely. Then pull on the cable to remove any slack. The cable should fit down into the clevis on the end where the hole is for the clevis pin. The cable should be flush with the end of the clevis but should not extend beyond the end of the clevis. Tighten both set screws securely with the Allen wrench that was supplied with the lanes. Set screws should be flush with the clevis. Pull cable into the clevis so any slack is between the clevis and the floats. This section of lane should have very little slack cable so the floats will stay in place.
6. Apply bronze clevis disconnect to the reel end in the same manner as the spring end. This end will have slack cable to allow for attaching to the pool; the slack on this end will be taken up with the take-up reel.
